Tomorrow, April 19, is the launch event for my latest book, Dust Up, much of which takes place in Haiti. As part of the book launch, I will be donating $1 from each book to help fund some of the worthwhile endeavors of Mouvement Paysan Papaye (MPP), or the Papay Peasant Movement. I’ve written about them in the past (here, here, and here), and I stayed at MPP’s compound in Central Haiti while researching Dust Up. You can watch a wonderful three-minute video here, which was filmed in the eco-villages we visited worked on and learned about while we were in Haiti, and which nicely conveys the spirit of the place. You can also learn more about MPP, and make a donation, at www.mpphaiti.org.
