Dust Up doesn’t come out until April 19, but I’m already excited about the launch event. We set the bar pretty high with the events for Drift (at the Academy of Natural Sciences) and Deadout (at Morris Arboretum), but the launch for Dust Up (6-8 p.m., April 19, 2016) should be right up there. The setting will be the spectacular Skyline Room & Roof Deck atop The Free Library of Philadelphia’s Parkway Central Branch (1901 Vine St., Philadelphia). In addition to a reading and brief talk about Dust Up (and plenty of signed books for sale!), the event will feature beer from St. Benjamin’s Brewing Company, snacks from Weavers Way Co-op, and live music from Rich Ciocco and Matt Davis.Plus, a portion of proceeds from books sold at the event will support sustainable agriculture and education in Haiti, where much of the book takes place.
As always, the event is free and open to the public, but we are asking folks to register here so we know how many people to expect. I hope you’ll be one of them, because it will be a great time! See you there!
