The Corn Belt Almanac comes out June 5, and I’m very excited to be a part of it. I’m also excited because there will be a great launch event to mark it’s release, with food, beer, live music, and of course, plenty of books, all at Emerald Street Farm. The Almanac is a collection of fiction, essays, poetry, and artwork, exploring and celebrating food – what it means, where it comes from. It’s published by The Head and The Hand Press, a wonderful and innovative local craft publisher (check out this post on Art Attack about their Chapbook Vending Machine) run by Nic Esposito.
I’ll be reading from my essay in the book – “Long Range Meal Planning” – along with CBA contributors Adrianna Borgia, Chris Monacky, and Jared Axelrod, who podcasts at The Voice of Free Planet X and is the author of The Battle of Blood & Ink.
